Breathing in Style

Very shortly after meeting Hylas I was introduced to his gas masks. Much like full-face hoods, I found them somewhat intimidating at first – when his expressions were covered up, I worried I couldn’t follow what he was enjoying or not. But as I got to know him better I learned what fun gas masks can be (and trusted us both to work out communication when non-verbals were limited).

It’s kinda good I like them, because he has a few:

Macro Tease

Sometimes – not often, but sometimes – my sadistic side comes out. For me, that means a little bit of using my nails and teeth, of inflicting pain. But more often, it means tantalising and teasing, building the anticipation and doing what pleases me. And when Hylas is wrapped up and tied down, blind and unable to move as I slowly and deliberately do what the hell I like? That really gets me off!

Curvaceous Derp

I post a lot of photos of myself. I regularly receive comments from readers complimenting both the photographer’s talent and how I look, which is always appreciated and great for the self-esteem. Still, with the occasional comment suggesting that I always look ‘amazing’ I must disagree – boy howdy, is that not the case! As it is with anyone who takes and posts pictures, there are a lot of shots that never make it onto the blog.

Breathing Easy

We were heading into old military tunnels under North Head, which were originally excavated and built to protect Auckland from Russians in the late 1800s.  So of course I was going to take a gas mask with me! Hylas has an impressive collection of gas masks (more impressive, I can recognise and name most of them now), but generally he’s the one wearing them. This was only the second time I’d worn one for more than 30 seconds…

Latex Pet (on Set)

Last weekend I went to a 30th birthday celebration. I knew no-one except for the host, who works with me (but that’s okay – I’m used to going into places where I know not one single person). It was pretty fun – it was held at a pub which had a mechanical bull, and I made conversation with a fair few people.

But my night was made when a woman came up to me at the bar as I was ordering a drink and asked, somewhat shyly, if I’d been on television recently? I replied in the affirmative. Yes – she’d seen me on Wero!

Wero on Set

It’s been a couple of weeks now, but I’m still thrilled at how well my first appearance on television went!

You’ve already seen my outfit for the show – this week we take a closer look at the set. Many thanks to sound-person Deb for taking all these great photos for me!

(There are click-throughs, of course. Be sure to have a look!)

Naked and Famous

Everybody wants to be naked and famous … and while I was (partially) clothed and Hylas was wrapped in latex, the claim stands. Doesn’t everybody want to be naked and famous? Probably not. But I do!

Last night we made our television début on Maori Television, on the show Wero. Wero is a great local show about gay, lesbian, bi and trans communities; and full of interviews, education, and a lot of pretty as well!

Dr Doodles

A few weeks back the luscious Amie Wee and I made plans to go to Dr Sketchy’s for the first time. Not that I am any sort of artist – words I am pretty good with, lines and shading not so much. But it sounded like fun, and who am I to turn down Amie?

Unfortunately on the night I ran late finishing work, and by the time we arrived it had been going for half an hour already. And, as we discovered, it was packed. There was no room for us – and the air of seriousness and artistry was quite intimidating to us scribblers as well! So we departed after a brief flirt with the guy on the door, went and ate kebabs and checked out the K Road sex shops instead.
