Friday poem: Batteries
Posted on | January 8, 2010 | 5 Comments
Yes, it’s the return of the silly Friday poem. Enjoy!
Batteries
Big and small and long and round
Inserted backwards and upside down
Always aiming to confound
Batteries. I hate them!
Rolling around in my drawer
Slipping loose upon the floor
Hiding when I need some more
Batteries. Damn them.
Triple A, Double A, C and D
Cell and 9-volt – they don’t agree
Too many types – but not the one I need
Batteries. Gah!
Useful so my toys will vibe
But never the size I had ascribed
Who is it I have to bribe?
Batteries. Who needs ‘em?
