Frilly HNT
Posted on | August 5, 2009 | 20 Comments
While I love my parasols, I don’t generally go in for frills, or for soft pastel colours – I prefer for them to be bold and brash and noticeable (much like me). That said, I have one exception! As you can see, this particular parasol is entirely different from my others. It’s lacy, frilly, pale pink, and smaller than the others. And I adore it.
When I take this parasol out, I feel particularly soft and feminine. Not in the ‘fit of vapours’ sense, but certainly I am more aware of how I move, how my nipples press against my clothing, and how my skirts (because this is definitely a parasol to wear with a skirt or a dress) swish past my legs.

What do you think? Feminine? Or just frilly? A parasol for a girly-girl or someone with a doll fetish, or instead just another gorgeous example of parasol-y prettiness?
Thanks to Kiana, once again, for photographing both me and my parasols
Don’t forget to have a look at my favourite HNT’s from last week, featuring the delectable Aurore!

Something so…nostalgic about the parasol. Makes me wistfully aware of our olden-age of years past, VERY classy!

mina – You have a point – so it is!
Aurore – I have lots of them, and I do adore them.
southerngirl – I don't do classy often, but when I do, I do it classy!
Vixen – High praise. Thank you!
Sadie – And I aim to please
BBG – Hooray for feminine! And sunshine.
Amorous Rocker – I love that you think it suits me. Thank you! This is the one that I take out the least, because I'm so unsure of the frilliness of it.
Lilly – Oh, I like the notion of Victorian. I need me some whale-bone corsetry to go with it!
viemoira – Girly works for me
theybelongtous – Not quite as delicate as it looks. It's fabric and lace, rather than paper, so it's actually more robust that some of my other parasols.
eternal list – Why thank you!
Moosekahl – I just grinned very unfemininely at your comment
Jobthingy – I think everyone needs a parasol!
vanimp – Bring on the Spring!
Sheba – I like artistic. Thank you for the compliment
