Naked and famous

Everybody wants to be naked and famous … and while I was (partially) clothed and Hylas was wrapped in latex, the claim stands. Doesn’t everybody want to be naked and famous? Probably not. But I do!

Last night we made our television début on Maori Television, on the show Wero. Wero is a great local show about gay, lesbian, bi and trans communities; and full of interviews, education, and a lot of pretty as well!

We were on in the segment called Wero Wheel, to talk about BDSM in Aotearoa New Zealand – and demonstrate a bit too

You can watch the entire episode online here – but if you want to skip just to our part I quite understand! We start at 20:30 (and I am squeeing just from watching it again – that was SO AWESOME!).

We had an absolute blast doing this – we were there for about four hours, and it went so quickly! Elton, our interviewer, was a sweetie (and looked marvellous in my blindfold) - he also kept stealing my fan to use between filming! Josh, the director and our cameraman, was such a pleasure to deal with – and he seemed most impressed with Hylas’ outfit – lots of closeups, which you’ll notice on the show! Our soundperson Deb was very taken with the gas mask, and kindly took loads of photos for me – you’ll see lots more in the coming weeks (I took the one above, but most were by her). And our sweet make-up artist did a lovely job of making me look as I do usually (ie: like I had no make-up on), and funnily enough decided to stay and watch the filming rather than head off for a break …

My only wee sad is that they spelt my name wrong … but I don’t care all that much. People often write it as ‘Curvacious’ rather than ‘Curvaceous’, but I think I’ll cope. It was so totally worth it

Pimpage! They did a link onscreen to FetLife, which is awesome.

I also showed off my XL Adult Toybox from For Your Nymphomation; the Best Blindfold in the World (ever) by Scott Paul, my Fun Fur Handcuffs from D.VICE, and a bunch of other stuff. It was cool being able to demonstrate these things!

Hylas’ gas mask – the British S10 (I know his gas masks pretty well now!) - came from Kiwi Disposals. His yummy purple rubber catsuit is from Reactor; his sexy tiger zentai came from ebay, and his bondage mittens were from Blackstyle. Did you see those? No finger movement there! Such pretties …

Yes, I’m on a high here. In the taxi home we discussed the idea of doing our own show with education and whatnot, on Vimeo. What do you all think?

A vimeo show would be a great idea. This post made me wish I were a kiwi – but only for a second I wish I had unlimited bandwidth so I could watch, sounds like an amazing experience

I think a Vimeo show is a FANTASTIC idea. You should definitely do that. If you wanted to do it live.. you could use ustream or something like that and answer people’s questions as they happen.

Awesome Dee does it again, that was brilliant. So nice to hear your cute Kiwi accent talking about kink.

You were fabulous! So calm and composed. I just love your attitude – presenting BDSM info as if you’re talking about your shopping list. It’s great to see kink being presented in such a positive, laid back manner. I think when some of the misinformation and ignorance of BDSM activities are removed, people can really see how much fun kinky stuff is!
