On the train HNT

Who’s that on the train? Who is it you can see reflected in the window as the scenery goes by? That’s right – it’s Hylas and me. And we were having a fantastic time when we took these photos

It was a gorgeous day both outside and in – but it was good to be inside and watching the hot outdoors rattling by. Hylas took lots of pictures of the train, grafitti, views, and me. I mostly just took pictures of him!

The conductor found it highly amusing watching us. We kept swapping seats, posing, and pausing inbetween to do some serious smooching. And, of course, we sent a lot of time looking deeply engrossed in the outside world – for the purposes of pretty pictures, naturally.

When the train wasn’t moving (which was often – there are a lot of stops between Pukekohe and Britomart) I was able to pose in other spots. I really quite liked the doors – and the poles to hold on to!

There are still a lot of pictures left to go, so the train adventure will continue in next week’s HNT!

This post really spoke to me. I’ve got a big love for anything about trains. Often, I daydream about riding the rails to just about anywhere. You make me smile.

My experiences with trains usually involve 12 hour trips, so I probably don’t like them as much as you do… But seeing your pics, I might yet change my mind

Yup! I particularly love the one with you standing by the doors, it’s just gorgeous. Makes me want to play with my camera some more.
