I like words. I like them a whole lot – whether they’re spoken or written, they hold a deep appeal to me. I like to to read, to write, to talk and to listen. To learn from the knowledge words impart. For me, words are intense, powerful, strong and moving.

Originally posted April 2007 (and reposted as it’s his birthday today. We may no longer be together, but I still feel exactly this way for him.)

“Stand in the bath-tub.” Naked, holding his hands, I lift my foot and step backward into the tub, my other foot following. “Good girl.” Letting go of me, he places both hands on my belly and gently pushes me back until I feel the touch of the cool wall behind me. I jolt at the coldness, and laugh at my surprise.

Warm soft strength HNT

Wrong turn

I enjoy getting lost. Provided I have the time to spare and a map in the car, I always view getting lost as an adventure – I am perpetually entertained when I take a wrong turn and end up where I did not intend to be. It is exciting and interesting, not to mention a great way to discover new places and new experiences.

Keeping control

I need to be in control. Or at least to perceive that I am.

I cannot waver; cannot let myself feel it slipping. I only feel safe giving up my control when I know that I am passing it to someone I can trust. (I can give my control to you, for a time. But I cannot drop it otherwise.)
