Biting the Bun

Posted on | September 15, 2013 | 21 Comments |

Sometimes I am small (it’s more often referred to as being little, but I prefer ‘small’) and while it doesn’t happen terribly often, it’s a pretty cool place to be. It’s been happening more often over the last few years. Very occasionally that’s in a (safe and consensual) sexual headspace, but more often it’s just as part of everyday life: when I’m tired, or curious, or working through something in counselling. I revert to being about six years of age.

I’ve not written about being small before as this is something I’ve needed to spend quite some time getting comfortable with – it’s a part of myself I am very protective of. Only a few partners have seen me this way, and not really any friends. My young self has only had the space to flower since my brother died and the pressure of being the grownup all the time began to abate. And I still never know when she’s going to pop through.

Most recently it was when I was spending the afternoon with Hylas. I’d gone over to join him for lunch, and for whatever reason – I think I was somewhat cranky – had started to be small just before we headed down the road to clear our PO Boxes, then go to the bakery. My personality when I’m small changes somewhat, and the way I talk makes it really obvious what’s happening. I really am just like a six year old (and what a pain in the arse I can be!).

At the bakery I couldn’t make up my mind what I wanted, and because they didn’t have croissants I decided to go to the Baker’s Delight at the corner to get some from there while Hylas waited for the hot chips to be cooked. And look at what I found there:

Bam! I’m one happy kid! Oh yeah :)

And, of course, I ate it all with my mouth open, slowly, and with extreme relish:

(There are click-throughs on both pics.)

The adult me would have shuddered in disgust at such a concoction. The small me, though, couldn’t wait to get my mitts and my mouth on it – and remembering it now, as my usual self, I have such a memory of pleasure – it’s something I am relearning, and loving.

So, small Dee, you’re definitely welcome to visit more. Even the sugar highs are totally worth it. *grins*

Is it my imagination, or do you tend to be small around me more than other times?

I don’t think I would need to be six to enjoy that… it looks deliciously wicked in so many lovely ways

Thank you for talking about your small self. I think everyone has child selves that come up, but I rarely see anyone open up about it, maybe because it’s hard to articulate from that space. You are very cute!

I love looking at the world through a child’s perspective; my kids have always kept me young that way :)

That looks perfectly delicious and I refuse to grow up to a point where I won’t indulge in such magnificent treats from time to time.

LoriandHubby – It was extremely tasty!

TheSinDoll – It is rather obvious, isn’t it?

Miss July – Thank you for mentioning your small side, hon. I’ve not read very much about other people’s, other than in Daddy/daughter (or occasionally Uncle/niece) situations.

ThatPosition – Oh, there are plenty of photos showing that! How often do you get to see me biting down and chewing, though?

Hylas – You get to see me small more than others, pet, because I trust you greatly and it was with you that I first felt safe exploring this side of myself.

Modesty Ablaze – Yes and yes :)

Molly – A treat at any age, but for me six was ideal…

PropertyOfPotter – It really, really was!

    Rebel – *big nods* Yep!

Beck – Not quite a donut, but very yummy indeed.

Scarlett – I wasn’t feeling ‘sexy’ at the time, but I can see it in the photos :)

Sugar Doll – I can certainly recommend them, if you can find something similar in the US South.

    Heaven – *tempts*

Evoe – You’re very welcome! I know that the rare times I’ve tried to journal about this I tend to revert, and become less comprehensible than usual – being able to write on my blog was a different headspace (as writing for others rather than myself, perhaps) and I was glad to be able to make myself understood. I will be writing more in the future, now and then, using the ‘Small Dee’ category.

Amie – I’m not sure that I knew that, Amie! Thank you for telling me – I am honoured you shared that! *hugs*

Kazi – That may be one of the advantages of kids, definitely :)

Bunny – That sounds like an excellent plan to me!

Penny – It absolutely was! And thank you :)

    Kraken – *grin* Yep. Recommended!

    xx to all,
    Dee (both ages)

Heh, shamelessly loving sweets, whether eating or wearing them. :)
