Waving the Flag

Posted on | January 30, 2013 | 13 Comments |

One of the wonderful things about my best friend Kiana is that we just have so much fun together. Sometimes it’s a quiet day of reading; other times it’s hitting the op-shops … and occasionally it’s covering me in paint and photographing the results!

Before I got covered in paint, Kiana created a flag for me – one I am absolutely proud to have. Here are some more pictures of it (and yes, there are click-throughs on all of them this week):

It’s completely fantastic, isn’t it?

I’m going to be taking it with me to the Big Gay Out next month…

It’s a damned shame I’ll have to wear more clothes, though. I think it looks perfect like this!

Now that was a great afternoon :)

Your posts always make me smile. The last photo is best though. You make me wonder at the whimsy of you.

Eek the bruises make me cringe.. I like playing but that is where my fear enters, getting rough enough to get bruised. Beautiful as always. Maybe one day I will be as unself conscious about my curves and go full naked.. yikes even that statement makes my heart pound.. UGH.. I hate feeling like this. You my dear give me hope that one day I won’t..

so…here’s the thing I love about you (and there’s quite a list, but this is at the top!)–you *are* right where so many of us strive to be…happy and whole with who you are. I SO admire that…

Read something on a friends fb page the other day that simply resonated. When we see pix of friends, we don’t say ‘oh their hair wasn’t perfect, or why did they smile that way or what was she thinking wearing *that*…” and yet so many of us do that when we see our OWN photo…it’s time that we emulate YOU, Dee, and be happy with our photos…they are representative of some of the best times of our lives. I LOVE your flag, and those bruises …well…kinda made me moist, yanno? Happy Day, dearest Dee!

Cammies – Kiana did a fantastic job painting it, didn’t she? I just love it!

Kazi – I am looking forward to using it as a cape at the Big Gay Out this Sunday :)

Pea – You admire me, and I’ll admire you. That seems fair, doesn’t it?

Molly – Those were some epic bruises, I agree. *smiles*

Twisted Angel – You know, all those bruises were from biting (which I love, and give as good as I get). It’s funny how some areas bruise up so much and others barely at all!

Missy Little – I never thought of myself as whimsical. I like that :)

    Malflic – Thank you!

    Rebel – *grins hugely*

Mistress L – Kiana painted something that suits me very well indeed.

Stella – My confidence is a part of me, just like my skin and my muscles and my bruises…

Mia – That was a coincidence, but once Kiana noticed it, we definitely lined me up to show that curves of rainbow and body :)

nilla – A moist nilla means a happy Dee. That’s definitely a win in my book!

    xx Dee
