Taking it Easy

Today is day five of the Seven Wonderful Sins celebration, and the focus today is on the marvellous invention of SLOTH.
Sometimes there’s nothing better than just being totally utterly lazy. Kicking back, reading a book, enjoying the day going by. Especially when there’s a well-trained pet (aka Hylas) to fetch you drinks, take photographs, and do all the heavy lifting for you…
There are click-throughs on all images – don’t miss out!
On a hot summer’s afternoon, there’s something utterly delectable about going out onto Hylas’ balcony, collapsing onto a pile of giant teddy bears, and reading in the (mostly) shade. All there is to see is an incredible 180 degree view of Auckland in the distance, and native bush close-up – and it’s glorious.
Even better, there’s a new Michael Manning book to peruse – so I’m a very happy camper indeed.
(It’s Inamorata, if you’re trying to peer at the cover.)
Being in the sunshine makse me sleepy, so I close my eyes. Just for a few moments …
Okay, maybe for more than a few moments! When I overheat and wake up again, it’s time for a drink, a change of positions, and a fresh book. Hylas has seven of the books in this ten book saga, and I thought it might be time to give them a go. Turns out it’s surprisingly readable – and pretty arousing, too
Which Hylas teases me about – because what did I expect?
Yes, laziness is awesome. Especially when there’s someone to enable me. I approve entirely!
