Cinematic Vulgarity
Posted on | November 25, 2012 | 12 Comments | Previous Post Next Post
Demeter and I went to see ‘Vulgaria‘ at the movies recently. A Hong Kong comedy, it was very vulgar indeed (and funny in an occasionally cringing fashion) – so it seemed entirely appropriate that after the film had finished I took the opportunity to flash my bits!
Granted, I can always find a reason if I try hard enough. But this was a better reason than most.
We were nearly – but not quite – caught by the attendant who came to clean the theatre before the next session. So he missed out.
But if there was anyone up in the projection booth, I made sure they got a great look:
Thanks, Demeter, for a lovely day out and a most excellent date!

Now if only the flash had worked on the camera – still, you can see what went on, that’s the main thing…

Actually I really like the grainy half light of these images. I think the flash would have taken away from the ‘art house’ feel the images have now.

Love the grainy “Texture” of the pictures, really adds an arty feel to the images!!

I love the idea of cinematic play and exposure
The artsy focus of the photos is also very appropriate!

I have to agree with everyone above on the grainy images. Very appropriate for a theater, I think.
I was hoping to get up to a bit of naughtiness in the theater myself this weekend, but unfortunately there was too much of a lingering crowd. Hopefully soon!
