What would you wish for, at a wishing well?

When Apollo and I found the wishing well in our wanderings around the Larnach Castle grounds, I was quite taken with it – and wouldn’t you be? While the well itself was now covered (I’d read that a very tipsy party goer had pushed a signal cannon down in about a hundred years earlier, which was rather challenging to retrieve), the sheer romanticism of it grabbed in a way that usually only parasols do. And did I ever wish I had one with me to take photos with! Still, Apollo did a great job of taking a picture of me making a wish, and I determined that I would return later to get me a scavenger hunt photo. Oh yes indeed!

That, of course, provided its own challenges. Because the wishing well is a popular spot, in a popular garden, next to a popular castle. But I am a determined exhibitionist, and I got my shots:

I really am so glad to have my gorilla pod – I ended up hanging my camera upside-down off a branch, and then running back and forth to get this photo (and the two click-throughs). This strikes me as an excellent way to get some exercise!

I brought myself home a Wishing Well bookmark, too. Well, why not? (Click to read the back.)

I totally wanted to take photos in the castle dungeon. Which I didn’t manage, alas!

    It makes me chuckle to be honest… the lengths we go too to get these images, cameras in trees, running back and forth…oh yes, the life of a sex blogger and I love every minute of it.

    I’ll take the post’s title literally, and make the wish that I lived closer to the illustrious and beautiful, not to mention curvaceous, Dee!

    I’d have loved to replace the gorilla pod!

    We’d been wondering when we’d get to see the wishing well pictures! Great shots; we especially love how relaxed you look in the second click-through. And the words on the front of the bookmark make excellent ones by which to live.

    You are so inspiring and you look stunning in both of these pictures. And I have so many wishes I dont know which one I would use for the wishing well. I am sure it would be something kinky though!

    I’d wish to be able to re-live a few special moments like when I met (let’s call him Mr. Parfait), a Seattle artist at a showing. Under the pretense of wanting to ask a private question, feigning shyness, we found a quiet room and then I had my way with him. It took a bit of “convincing” but when he came alive… OMG- pure beef by a man that knows how to wield it. I rode that man like a rodeo bronc. Yep. I’m re-living that right now.

    Oh my stars and garters Ingrid. I was there that night, I’m sure of it. I know who you are talking about and he IS a muffin but has a rock hrad ass and a mischieveous sparkle in his eye. I’m not going to mention his name but did you know he also paints (women mostly- wonder why). Anyway, we all (chorus) suspected something but wow, you lucky ***

    Molly – Well, not the life of every sex blogger (some are about the words). But for those of us who like to include pictures too? Absolutely!

    Michael – I have an amusing mental image of you hanging upside-down from the branch, holding the camera and clicking away :)
