aka Raunchy Review: Solar Eco Friendly Bullet Vibe
Doesn’t this toy look elegant? You’d never believe that this was a Cal Exotics product, would you? The packaging doesn’t show any mostly-naked person on it using the toy, the bullet and charger looks nice, and it seems quite good quality . And there are no phthalates! (Bonus – the packaging is recyclable as well.)
This Solar Bullet is different from other bullets, in that it doesn’t require cell batteries in the bullet itself, or any AA or AAA batteries in the controller. What this provides instead is a solar-cell, with a plug-in jack for the bullet. This means you can unplug the bullet, put the cell on the window-sill, or beneath a turned-on lamp, and let it charge. It looks quite innocuous when charging, as solar-cells are used for other products that have nothing to do with the sex. The solar-cell even has a little LED on the side which glows blue when it’s charging, so you know if you’ve put it in strong enough light.
When it came to actually using the toy, I was initially very impressed. The bullet, even on its lowest speed, is nice and strong. There is a slider for the vibration speed, and it’s quite easy to manipulate, without being too easy to knock accidentally. The light on the end of the bullet itself is quite unnecessary, but the extra bump it provides is rather nice on the clit. It’s a good toy for getting off with, which is just what you want in a bullet.
However. The product claims that eight hours of charge should give 60 minutes of play. Handy, as you can charge during the day, then play at night. Sounds like a good plan. Unfortunately, after I’d used and recharged it twice, I found to my dismay that the charge just wouldn’t hold. Which meant that I’d lie down with some erotica and my bullet vibe, good to go … and it’d go flat 20 minutes later, just as I was getting ready to get off. Not so good!
Verdict: Excellent idea, but needs some work to hold the charge better.

I really like the idea of Eco Toys. 90% of my vibes are rechargeable and I try and use rechargeable batteries in the others. But I really really like the idea of a solar powered toy! To bad this one does hold a charge!
Hopefully the fact they are making these means they will continue to improve the engineering until they are truly kick arse!

I am hoping the engineering will improve also – it was a great idea, and I really wanted it to work
