You say Potato…
aka Raunchy Review: Tantus Alumina Flow Dildo
There are a few linguistic differences between American English and New Zealand English. Some relate to the written word (like ‘color’ instead of ‘colour’) and some are spoken as well. Just one of those differences happens to be a word describing the material that the Tantus Alumina Flow is made out of.
All you readers, over there in the States, pronounce it ‘Aluminum’. We, here in New Zealand, say ‘Aluminium‘. You know – like Uranium, or Plutonium, or Radium. (Try saying any of those without the i!)

Airport Shenanigans
I am so proud of Amie Wee!
She’s currently in Sydney for the Mardi Gras, and I had the pleasure of driving her out to Auckland International Airport for her flight yesterday. After she’d checked her luggage and we were sitting down having some lunch, I mentioned that I’d brought my camera so I could take the obligatory ‘at the airport’ photos.
Which got us, filthy perverts that we are, considering if there was anywhere at the airport that we could take naughty photos…

Staying Safe – published!
After my Staying Safe post a few weeks ago, the lovely Hannah, editor of Express Magazine, asked if I could expand upon it for the next issue. (You may recall I had an article in Express last year about Pansexuality. Apparently when I write about Buck Angel it’s a popular thing…)
The latest issue (09/02/11 – 22/02/11) came out last week, and as promised, here is a scan of the article – and the full text of the revised post.

Tiger Tiger
Hylas is a number of things. He is. first and foremost, my Pet. But he’s also my lover, my friend, my papa, my puppy – and my tiger. Rowr!
(Just this past weekend he was a public tiger at the 2011 Big Gay Out, and very popular indeed! You can see him in the Gay NZ scene pics here.)
For those curious, this is a zentai outfit. Hylas has a few, but this is, I think, our favourite. He even modelled it on television last year, and looked good enough to bite.

Nude in Tairua
One of the great things about having a body is being naked. Well, I think so. And where better to be naked than on a luscious king-sized bed in a luscious holiday home in the luscious Coromandel?
The accommodation, partway between Tairua and Pauanui, looked pretty awesome on the website. Turned out that the view was even prettier once we arrived. And oh, so many awesome spots to take photos (there’ll be a few weeks of pics here) – we were very glad we’d chosen to stay two nights rather than just one!

Over-exertion
The house move is done (and many helpers were awesome).
The cats despise us (being shoved into a box, driven to a strange place and then not being allowed outside to pee is the worst punishment ever).
There are boxes everywhere (and despite labelling, I just cannot seem to find the ones I want).

Fresh start
Tomorrow Apollo and I move to our new house. It’s a fresh start, in more than a few ways.
It’s been strange, getting used to living without my brother. He lived with us for over four years, and seeing him every day was a part of ours lives. He had his independence, but there was a lot of closeness there. I still automatically look to the sleep-out to see if he’s woken up and drawn the curtains – although, of course, I remember as soon as I’ve done it that he’s now dead.

January Photo Favourites
In this regular feature, I showcase my most recent favourite pics for the month. If you like them, please visit the person in question and let them know – I certainly have!
In Hot Water
In the continuing adventures of Dee and Hylas in the Coromandel, we made our way over to the East Coast, and thus to one of the many beaches, scattered around. This was a special one, though.
Why? Because it’s Hot Water Beach.
The sea water isn’t hot. The sand is – but that’s not surprising. However, for a few hours each day when the tide is at the right level, you can dig holes in the sand, and hot water filters in and fills it up. Nothing like a spa before your swim!

“You know you want to dance.”
Originally posted December 2007.
You only ever get one first kiss. Trite but true.
But there are other ways for a kiss to be first. Sometimes, when events go well and energies click, you get to have a new kiss experience. A first-kiss-with-them. A memory of flesh and emotion made together.
