Busy Bee

Bees were everywhere on our Coromandel holiday. We were visited by one as we rested at the Eye-full Tower at the top of the Driving Creek Railway. We saw more beehives than I knew existed as we drove around (it became a game to see who would spot them first). And I had the pleasure of spending a good half an hour communing with a bee shortly after we arrived at our first nights accommodation.

It was hanging out on a window in the lounge, one which looked out over the deck and the outdoor bath. It was a very friendly bee, so we conversed in our differing ways (me verbally, it by waggling its antennae), and Hylas was by turns amused and  … no, mostly he was just amused.

October is Love Your Body month, and tomorrow (October 16), is Love Your Body day!  This is run by EDEN – the Eating Difficulties Education Network – and is a very awesome thing

Why am I writing about this? Well, tomorrow, for Love Your Body day, there’s going to be three local women body-painted, then taking to the streets of Auckland. And one of those women is me!

Coromandel Cleavage

One of the only firm plans that Hylas and I had for our kinky holiday was a trip on the Driving Creek Railway. This is a totally awesome experience – I’d been on it twice before (once with Apollo, and before that as a kid), but it was a new thing for him.

On the way up, up, up we snuggled, enjoyed the view and listened to the commentary.  On the way down, down, down? Then it was time for lots of photos!

Road to Nowhere

So last weekend Hylas and I went for a kinky weekend away – three nights on the sunny Coromandel Peninsula. This was a first for a number of reasons: it was my first holiday with a partner other than Apollo in nearly a decade; it was my first time spending more than 24 hours in the company of Hylas; and it was going to be kinky!

Photographs started quite quickly – these ones were as we were driving from Thames up to Coromandel township itself. We rounded a corner and came across this stunning view, so just had to stop and get some pictures. (And let my stomach settle – there were lots of curvy roads.)

Sometimes in the dozy napping of a slow morning awakening I find myself dreaming of extremely sexy scenes.  This was one of those mornings.  The dream I was about to have touched on fantasy territory, lots of it.
