Rouge Parasol

It’s the first HNT of a new year – so of course I’m showing off a new parasol! My parasol series was very popular last year, so I figured why stop a good thing?
This particular parasol was made by Djeco, a French company (they usually do children’s toys), and is made out of waxed paper. That means not only does it feel neat, but it can be used an umbrella as well as a parasol. I purchased it, new, from a place called The Garden Party on Ponsonby Road in Auckland – I spotted it in the window and had to have it!
These delightful photographs were taken by Kiana out in Coyle Park in Pt Chevalier, with Hylas assisting. There were some rather perplexed fishermen on the rocks below, but they seemed to enjoy the view
I also really like my new party dress – it’s cleavage-tastic, as you can see, and I found it for $20 in a second-hand clothing store on Karangahape Road. That was a good day!
That tree was very kind to me – I spent rather a lot of time close to it, and found out later it’d left me presents of bark shavings in my bra…
Part of the reason I love this parasol so much is the brightness and the busy-ness of it. Flower patterns don’t often appeal to me, but this is just bursting with life!

That’s amazing! The dress, the necklace, and the parasol.
I’d be a bit afraid of destroying the parasol meself, but then I do sweat acid apparently!

Dana – Most parasols are pretty hardy. Depends what material they’re made out of
