So very pink

I thought I’d shown off all of my parasols … but when I went to check, discovered I’d missed one out! This one is a favourite of my niece’s (she loves the pink), but probably the one I take out the least, as it’s just a bit too much for me a lot of the time.

Slow Dance

I wrote this as an entry to Wilhelmina‘s ‘First‘ competition, now closed. It’s a true story, and one I’ve not shared on this blog before. Let me know what you think!

We had been doing the slow dance of flirtation for months. She was unconventionally attractive – her slim legs ending in Doc Marten boots beneath her skirts, a laughing mouth and teasing eyes – but it was quite some time before I realised I was attracted to her. A girl. Another woman. Not a man, in other words. That was a first for me, and it was some weeks of heavy pondering in the early hours, before I came to accept that I was attracted to whomever I was attracted to – in this case, her.

Basquing

What am I thinking of? Am I thinking of you? Of you touching me? Of touching myself?

Perhaps I am considering the sensation it would evoke if you slowly, teasingly, undid the hooks at the back of my basque. Or how your tongue would feel flicking against my nipples, through the material.

Colourful

I do love my sarongs. While you’ve all seen this one before, I felt it was worth sharing some more, especially as this week is an unofficial HNT theme – Sarong Sirens!

One of the things I love about this sarong is how damned sheer it is – if it’s not folded you can see certain body parts hidden beneath, or my silhouette as the sun shines through it.

Libido a-go-go

My libido has disappeared. Again. Has anyone seen it?

I like my libido – I like it a lot! So I make sure I take very good care of it – I pet it and feed it and treat it well and ensure that it gets all the attention it wants. So I am very sad that it’s gone missing.

Yes, I miss my libido. It’s kept me great company for the past 11 years, although there was a whole year before that when it was AWOL. I thought I was the only one that had ever lost their libido before – until I went to Family Planning and was told by a kindly nurse that it happens to most of us at one time or another, and that it would eventually come back. Which was small consolation at the time (for me, or for my boyfriend)… but ultimately it was true.

Wrapped in white tissue

Buying new lingerie is always a treat – and relatively rare, as it tends to be hard on my wallet!

But when I was last in Rich Lingerie (buying my delicious black & red set, and my grey leopard-print set), I also tried on a gorgeous Elomi basque, which I just had to have. Alas, they only had it in white (for weddings, I guess), which was not what I wanted. I’m not huge on the white underwear (these delicious lacy ones notwithstanding), but they were happy to order, from Germany, the same outfit in black. Yay!

So, what IS a Vampire Flopper?

I know I’ve been keeping you in suspense, but since so many of you took the time to enter my competitions (thank you, each and every one of you), it’s now time to actually let you in on what a Vampire Flopper is, and why it caught my attention.

It’s got nothing to do with piercing skin, drawing blood, or turning you into a bloodsucker (at least, not for humans). Nope. Instead, it’s to do with, well, spearfishing. Yep, spearfishing.

Tiny but cute

Alas, these are the last of my parasol photos – but these two are so cute and teeny that I had to showcase them together! They’re not so good for keeping the sun off my head … but they’re just the right size for protecting other areas…
