As you may have figured out by reading me for a while, I’m a geek. We are, in fact, a geek house, and it’s pretty obvious as soon as you walk in the door. But the lounge is the biggest indicator of geekdom. If the three bookcases filled with science-fiction didn’t give it away; the shelves of anime; or the posters … well, then the 60+ figurines should clinch it!
About half of the figurines we have are mine, and about half are Apollo’s (we have a lot of cross-over in interests though, and quite often give them to each other as gifts). We have figurines from TV shows, movies, comics, and anime, as well as the occasional ‘misc’. What we have today, though, are my vampire figurines. Do you recognise any of them?
That’s not actually a coffin they’re standing on (although it’d fit them all), but it looks good, doesn’t it?
Two of the vampires may be particularly familiar if you’re in the process of trying to identify the pictures in the Vampire Flopper competition (24 hours left to enter!). See below for a closer look:
They’re not exactly friends, these two. Mister Red-Coat there thinks Blinged-Out-Pimptastic is a shallow show-off, while the latter thinks the former is an ancient blow-hard. But they both have lovely British accents, and that makes me happy
