Remembering Summer

It’s the first HNT of the month, so it’s time for another in my series of parasol photo shoots (yes, I have enough to keep this up all year).

All these pictures were taken on the same day, a brilliantly warm Summer’s afternoon right at the start of the year. It’s quite lovely to look over these images now that it’s cold and rapidly heading into winter. I’m all wrapped up in cardigan and socks and slippers as I type this, but there I am on the screen wearing nothing but skin and sunshine. Just lovely.

This is one of my more vintage parasols, and the pattern on it makes me think of Spring, with a riot of garden colours all blooming and bright.

The parasol has a very pretty handle, too – but I’m sure you were focused on that when you looked at the photo, right?

So here I am, cold, and there I am, warm. I’m still me both times – but I would rather be here than there! Wouldn’t you?

I’d definitely much prefer to be back in summer, with the possibility of nekkidness, than the current necessity to wear multiple layers against this damn freezing weather.
