Unforgettable

As the theme for the final HNT of 2008, rather than taking and posting a new image, it’s a chance for us to choose our favourite picture (our own, that is), of the year. I’ve been participating in HNT for a whole year, and I’ve put up some photos I really love – but there is one that is the most memorable.

Genie in a bottle

Usually my favourites take the form of photographs. But this week’s HNT had a theme – three wishes (for Giftmas) – and I wanted to share the wonderful wishes which were made for me.

Vanilla Impaired was moved to say:

Angelic

Not only is HNT up a day early (being a celebratory, table-groaning, busy-busy day on Thursday), but it’s another themed HNT – this one is three wishes.

For 13 messages, if I was able to give a gift it would be a huge fluffy duvet – with me tucked beneath it! There’s nothing like warm and squishy snuggles beneath warm (yet not stifling) covers.

To Bad Bad Girl, I wish a year of bottom adoration. Be they admiring glances; friendly pats; lascivious compliments; enthusiastic spankings; or attentive stroking – it’s a gorgeous arse, and it deserve attention!

Getting sticky with a Candy Cane

When better to review a toy that looks like a Giftmas ornament, than at Giftmas-time? This gorgeous glass toy isn’t designed to be hung on the tree, or to be licked and sucked and stickily devoured (although you can do both) - there’s a better use for it!

I was most impressed with the Don Wands Candy Cane when it arrived and I unpacked it – what it came with was cool! Granted, the packaging is plastic and unexciting, but it fit the glass dildo snuggly, along with a poofy pouch for storage, a silicone lube sample, and an informational care card that was most informative – it covered cleanliness and durability, among other things. Really though, it was the poofy pouch that got my attention (along with the cane itself), and meant I had to prise open the plastic right away.

Giftmas

The theme this week is Christmas Tree HNT – and while we don’t have a tree up this year (my brother nicked off with our artificial one and, along with his daughter, erected and decorated it out in his room instead), I do have these stockings …

I seconded my husband Apollo to take photos for me, but I can’t blame him for sniggering as he watched me attempt to put the stockings on my feet. These stockings were not made for wearing – there are threads all through the insides! It ultimately worked out much easier to slip them on my hands and make stocking-puppets out of them, as you can see.

“I was just myself.”

I have a wonderfully large collection of vintage photographs – and many of my favourites are of Bettie Page. Whether she was clothed or naked, bound and gagged, blindfolded, spread or just plain posing, she was always smiling – and always delightfully comfortable in her skin.

It’s that comfortableness – her acceptance of her body just the way it was – which appealed to me so much. Photos of naked women are not hard to come by, but photos of naked women when it’s clear that there’s nothing they’d rather be doing? Those are a rare find indeed.

Connections

This time of year, as the silly season approaches, I think about my family. The family that’s no longer present, and family I’m obliged to see.

Most of my close family is gone. Both parents, three grandparents. My only brother is terminally ill. When he’s gone, it’ll be down to my grandmother, my niece, and a whole mess of extended family.

I make a choice to not see (as much as possible) most of my extended family. Many of them were perplexed at the choice Apollo and I made to be civilly unioned, rather than married. They don’t understand why we never want children. And they’d be appalled – and would likely pray for my soul – if they knew of my pansexuality, polyamory, and kinkiness. Some few cousins (and one uncle) have been told. The rest I don’t care to share it with.
